What does a road trip to the beach, a fluffy Golden Retriever, and a warm August weekend have in common? All three come together beautifully for a late summer wedding at Hidden Meadows in Snohomish. We’re thrilled to feature this loving couple, Shanna & Jeren, and several Snohomish Wedding Guild vendors—and when we describe the couple as “loving,” we mean that literally! They are sweetly embracing in almost every photo! Please read on for more.
The Proposal
For their two-year anniversary, Shanna and Jeren took a road trip to Seaside, Oregon. As they stopped on a small ledge overlooking Manzanita Beach, Jeren asked Shanna for her hand in marriage—only, he asked in a way that just she would understand. Gently nudging her, he asked if she would be “SLY” with him, as S. L. Y. would be her initials once married. She happily said “yes,” and the two have been dreaming of their wedding ever since.
Wedding Highlights
When Jeren and Shanna saw their wedding venue, Hidden Meadows, they realized it was everything they were looking for—inviting, cozy, and elegant. The bridesmaids and groomsmen wore crisp shades of dark blue and black, complimentary to the couple’s wedding colors of navy and silver. Shanna looked beautiful in her strapless gown, a soft updo, and neutral makeup by Salon Maison.
The couple included their golden retriever, Sunny, in their wedding ceremony. Doesn’t Sunny have the sweetest face? Once the ceremony was over, guests were welcomed to the reception featuring crisp, clean linens and other rentals from Sweet Buffet Lady. To their guests’ delight, catering was provided by The Wooden Spoon. Afterwards, GSquared Weddings captured gorgeous golden hour photos, including one shot with a hot air balloon in the background—so iconic for Snohomish!
